Bryan and Tertia had convinced us abandon our previous plans of going around the back way to go further north and go to Rainbow Beach on the Fraser Coast.
This was one seriously flat ride. And we got a serious flat tyre. Even after all that we got the the last 30 km's which even with the flat riding before hand was a bit of a push continuing along the undulating landscape into the small town of Rainbow Beach.
For the last 9 km stretch from the town to Inskip Point I filled my bike with close to my full capacity of water and it was HEAVY. Lucky the ride was flat and we finally were sitting on the beach enjoying the sunset with our tent only 20 metres from the beach.
Enjoying the beach, disregarding my Coastal Resource Management teachings |
